Further to my previous news item, we now have the pleasure of advising that Mortons Solicitors in conjunction with Stockport Incorporated Law Society have arranged a meeting at the Alma Lodge Hotel on Monday 21st September 2015 at 4.30pm.
Further to previous news / blog posts in relation to the current court consultation process being run by HM Court & Tribunal Services. The consultation began on the 16th July 2015 and ends on 8th October 2015. The Ministry of Justice have earmarked 91 courts for closure.

Congratulations to Karl Benson on qualifying as a solicitor and being admitted to the roll of solicitors. Karl has been working hard to finally qualify as a solicitor for the past two years as a trainee, as well as increasing his Crown Court caseload and representing clients day and night at the police station
The Government announced a consultation for proposals to close 91 Courts in England and Wales (and merge many more). This would include Stockport Courthouse which serves the people of Stockport and its boroughs.
